What’s your surfboard of choice?
The only one I have “Lost speed demon”, which has a few battle scars.

Grew up surfing where/home break(s)?
North Platte River, NE….Midwest boy in search of the So Cal Dream.

What break do you call home now and why?
Hermosa/ Manhattan, because I can ride a bike to the breaks.

Favorite type of wave?
Bowly beach break

When confronted by a big, thick closeout barrel do you straighten out or pull in and enjoy the view?
Enjoy the view and take it on the Head

How often do you get in the water?
As much as possible, at least 3-4 days a week

What do you do for a living?
Multi Store Manager/ Sunglass Icon., Oakley Inc.
I Manage 2 stores where the rich and wanna be famous people of LA. Spend there cash on $1000 a pop glasses.

No, but happily taken

What qualifies you to judge the waves for the rest of us?
I know you look at my profile and say, “this guy has only surfed for 2 years what does he know?” Well take it for what its worth I’m a quick learner and accurate. If I blow a report please email.

What do you like about doing the report (aside from the obvious fame and fortune)?
It’s a great way to start the day, with all the crazies of the daily grind, it’s a way for me to clear my head in the morning.

What makes your surf reports better than those of our competitors?
We actually see the wave with our own eyes and not through a small video feed.

Do you ever wake up late and hungover and just make something up.

Any words of advice for someone who is just learning to surf?
Stay with it, “surfing a source, it’ll change your life man” If you really want to learn? Earn you turns and learn the rules of the water.

Other than surfing what are your hobbies?
Snowboarding, Skateboarding, art, photo, camping, flip cup

Any surf destination you haven’t been to that you’d like to check out?
Mainland Mexico

Still planning

What’s the biggest wave you’ve ever ridden?
A couple feet overhead

Have you ever been in a fight out in the water?
No, peace man, there’s enough to go around.
