What break do you call home now and why? El Porto. Its always bigger there.
Favorite type of wave? A- frames and peaky
Favorite spot? Restaurants, Tavarua Fiji
When confronted by a big, thick closeout barrel do you straighten out or pull in and enjoy the view? Pull in and enjoy the view all the way to the end
How often do you get in the water? 5-6 times a week
What do you do for a living? Repair surfboards
Marital status? Single
What qualifies you to judge the waves for the rest of us? I use to be a judge for the Bud Surf tour and for the WQS. I traveled all over and judged the best surfers in the world from Tom Curren to Kelly Slater.
What do you like about doing the report (aside from the obvious fame and fortune)? It gives me a chance to see how the conditions change on a daily basis.
What possesses you to get up at dawn every morning and do a surf report? I’ve always liked getting up early and it’s always exciting to see what to see what the surf will look like for the day.
What makes your surf reports better than those of our competitors? I’m on the beach every morning, camera in hand....what else can I say.
Any words of advice for someone who is just learning to surf? Respect your local line up and don’t surf El Porto

What’s the biggest wave you’ve ever ridden? 18 feet- Todos Santos, Mexico

If you had to choose only 1 who would it be? Marrianne, Ginger or Gilligan. Marrianne of course.

Any parting thoughts or philosophical statements? If you’re a new surfer, respect the line up at your local break. If you’re a long-boarder, the extra foam under you doesn’t entitle you to every wave out there
