APP ISSUES: FYI – The app is shut down for the time being so just go the mobile site on your phones browser, it does exactly the same thing and you can enlarge the live stream with a pinch. The powers that be won’t let me update the APP and re-submit it because they insist it’s too similar to the mobile site…. F’N Apple store messing with me! Sorry for the interruption in service!

SHARK SIGHTINGS 4-18-18 there were several juvenile Great White Shark sightings in the Manhattan Beach/El Porto area. All sharks observed were an estimated 5-8 feet. Don’t be shocked if you see a breaching GWS just beyond the wave line.

For Monday the South swell will dip down into the waist high + range and the sets will be few and far between from that same 175-180 degree angle with 13-14 second intervals..

The NW ground and wind swell will continue to drum up waist high + surf for the better West facing breaks.

Looks like we should get some bonus 8-10 second interval NW wind swell from a steep 305-310 degree angle.

All in all there should be some fun little waves everywhere.

Tide drains out quickly through the morning!

For Wednesday morning we’ll see another new South swell with 16-18 second intervals from that same discriminating 175-180 degrees. You’ll have to find a beach that is receptive to that angle. Once again, the OC and San O’ areas look to be your best bet to score some some solid sets.

We’ll also see a fresh pulse of NW energy move in from a 295-305 degree angle with 14-16 second intervals. The better West facing breaks should see waist to chest high sets.

For Thursday morning we’ll see that same combo of of NW and Southerly swell hold with continued steeply angled sets out of the South from that same sideways angle of 175-180 degrees and the NW energy from that 295-300 degree angle.

Once again only the most exposed South facing breaks will get a sniff of this energy but should dish up chest high + sets for the top spots in the OC and San O’ areas.

West facing breaks should also see waist to chest high sets.

______________________________________________________________________________________________________

For Friday morning we’ll see another pretty solid pulse out of the South from the same brutal angle of 175-180 degrees but thumpy 16-18 second intervals. Basically that means that only the most exposed South facing breaks will see any action so plan accordingly, there should be some nice chest to shoulder high sets to be had if you put yourself in the right spot.

The NW energy will be on the decline but the top spots should dish up waist high surf.
