Osama Bin Laden
Osama Bin Laden was the favorite to win the snake
of year and we felt obligated to create the scenario
we would like to eventually see played out. Snakes
hide under rocks, in caves, are usually territorial,
and more often than not they catch you offguard
when they attack. Bin Laden is much like the hardcore
locals that occupy certain breaks up and down our
coast. In a pack, they (locals) can be intimidating
and will threaten you with bodily harm and destruction
of property. When put in a one on one situation
they tend to run and hide. It doesn't matter where
you're from or what you do, it's inevitable that
at some point in life you will encounter prejudice,
localism and snakes (not necessarily in the surf).
Just remember that whatever you give out will more
than likely come back and bite you in the ass. Just
ask the PV loc's, they took it a step too far and
there gig is up. The privacy they've enjoyed for
decades is history, they may as well put an escalator
on the hill now. The first local to do something
stupid will be made an example of in the harshest
way possible. Remember to play nice, no ones a local
everywhere.
