SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA SURF FORECAST UPDATED 2-18-13
Wednesday morning looks pretty ugly as Mother Nature flips the onshore wind switch on early and keeps it in the 9-16 MPH range, out of the West all day long. The surf will be in the head high to overhead zone with stormy conditions.

On Thursday morning things should clean up considerably with offshore winds and waves in the head high to overhead range. The swell is a combo of 14-16 second interval energy from a 300 degree angle and some mid interval 10-12 second wind swell from a steep 310 degrees.

The conditions should be pretty good with breezes out of the NE/NNE at 3-8 MPH until noon and light West winds up to 10 MPH in the afternoon. We’ll see an air temp of 62 degrees.
Saturday morning it looks like we should see a stronger, 20-22 second interval build in through the day. This will eclipse the other swell when it starts to fill in and should put the exposed West facing breaks into the head high to overhead zone by days end. The weather could take a turn for the worse though…

The conditions a little iffy with light onshore winds in the 2-3 MPH zone until 11AM and 8-10 out of the West in the afternoon. We’ll see an air temp of 60 degrees.
For Sunday morning it looks like we should see a stronger, long interval swell in effect for the morning. This will put the better West facing breaks into the shoulder to head high plus zone. The tide’s a bit high at 8AM, but will drain out quickly through the morning.
