By Tuesday morning there will be a more significant drop off as the periods dip into the 12-14 second interval zone and the exposed West facing breaks dole out waist to shoulder high sets, (with a few, stray cat, larger waves mixing in).

The conditions look fair for the morning session with variable winds in the 2-4 MPH range until around 11AM and 5-8 MPH West winds into the afternoon. We’ll see an air temp of 61 degrees.

Wednesday morning is looking pretty small for the AM with leftover ground swell and an influx of wind swell. Don’t expect much more than waist high plus sets for the top spots. A fairly beefy high tide will make things pretty slow for you dawn patrollers.

The conditions look fair for the AM, with variable winds, out of the East, in the 2-6 MPH range until around 11AM and 9-11 MPH West winds into the afternoon. We’ll see an air temp of 62 degrees.

For Thursday morning we’ll see some chest to shoulder high plus sets for the better West facing breaks. This will be comprised of a combination of short to medium interval wind swell and some longer period ground swell. An early morning high tide will slow things down a bit, but the waterline will recede quickly, resulting in a minus tide in the early afternoon.

The current water temps are as follows – Newport 55 degrees, Huntington 57 degrees, the South Bay showed as 56 degrees, Santa Monica 54 degrees and Malibu 56 degrees.
