SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA SURF FORECAST UPDATED 4-30-14
For Thursday morning, May 1st, we’ll have a combination of NW wind swell and that Southern Hemi energy that we’ve been enjoying all week, will be on it’s last legs. The West facing beaches should go waist high plus and the South facing breaks will see inconsistent sets in the waist high range.

The conditions will be great again with another day of offshore breezes in the 6-16 MPH zone, (stronger below passes and canyons) . The air temp jumps up to a ridiculous 90 degrees on the beaches.
Friday morning looks pretty small and the high pressure starts to break apart. Barring an act of God we’re looking at knee to waist high plus surf for all spots.

The conditions look fair early, with variable breezes out of the East in the 3-6 MPH zone until 10AM and those will get up to 10-14 MPH out of the West in the afternoon. The air temp dips slightly to 86 degrees.
Saturday morning should will toil in the waist high plus range for most breaks with the South facing spots seeing a few larger sets on occasions.

The conditions look okay with light 2-4 MPH SE winds until 10AM and 9-11 MPH winds out of the West through the afternoon. The air temp dips to 77 degrees on the sand.
Sunday morning will be seeing more small surf. Not flat, but not real enticing either, as most breaks remain in the knee to waist high range with sporadic larger sets out of the South.

The conditions should be tolerable with variable winds in the 1-3 MPH range until 10AM and those will go West to the tune of 10-15 MPH in the afternoon. The air temp drops down to 72 degrees.
The current water temps Newport 60 degrees, Huntington 58 degrees, the South Bay showed as 62 degrees, Santa Monica 59 degrees and Malibu 54 degrees.
