For Friday morning we’ll see some more powerful swell move in from a 285-290 degree angle with 16 second intervals. This should put the exposed West facing breaks into the OH to DOH range with even some larger sets at the top West facing breaks. Lots of wind and rain on tap so I’m inclined to believe that it’ll be pretty ugly out there.

Friday
2014-12-12 Fri 02:00 AM 3.86 feet High Tide
2014-12-12 Fri 06:50 AM Sunrise

2014-12-12 Fri 07:30 PM 0.95 feet Low Tide
2014-12-12 Fri 10:43 PM Moonrise

The conditionslook questionable at best with 2-12 West winds all day long. There is a 100% chance of rain and according to the weather models it’ll be raining cats and dogs under the cloak of darkness tonight, continue through the morning and slowly taper off through the day. The air temp checks in at 61 degrees.

* Beware of the Urban Runoff – It’s recommended that you stay out of the water for 72-hours following the end of any measurable rain-event. If you do choose to roll the dice be sure to wear ear plugs and shower with piping hot water after your session. Rinse your ears with an alcohol and vinegar solution and don’t be shy about busting out the netti pot or neil med rinse…

For Saturday morning we’ll see that swell continue to dish up OH to DOH surf for the better West facing breaks. The angle will continue to have quite a bit of West in it, so the less exposed breaks should see waves too. The winds should calm and the sea surface should clean up dramatically. The water quality will be compromised again so roll the dice and paddle if you’re feeling lucky, (lots of nasty shmeg will be stalking the line up)!
