For Thursday morning we’re looking at some steeply angled, short interval, NW wind swell to mix in with some more Westerly angled medium interval swell. This combination of energy put the top West facing breaks in the chest to shoulder high zone.

The conditions should be okay with variable 1-4 MPH breezes out of the East until around 10AM and 5-9 MPH West winds through the afternoon. The air temp tops out at 66 degrees.

On Friday morning that short interval swell will increase with shoulder high plus surf at the exposed West facing breaks. The medium interval swell will be hardly noticeable in the midst of the wind swell.

The conditions should be fair for the AM for spots that like a Southerly direction wind. We’ll see breezes out of the S/SSE in the 2-5 MPH zone until 11AM and 9-11 MPH out of the West in the afternoon. The air temp tops out at 65 degrees.

On Saturday morning that swell will hold with shoulder to head high surf at the exposed West facing breaks but from the looks of things we’re in for some unsavory onshore winds.

The conditionslook a little iffy with gusty onshore winds out of the West right out of the gate and those will get up to 25 MPH in the afternoon. The air temp tops out at 62 degrees.

On Sunday morning that wind swell will hold with chest to shoulder high surf at the exposed West facing breaks. With all that wind it the water temp will likely dip and it will take some time for Mother Nature to iron out those wind bumps overnight.

The conditions could go either way but the models today are calling for variable winds out of the East in the 6-12 MPH zone until 2PM, (slightly stronger below the passes and canyons), and mild SW breezes in the afternoon. The air temp tops out at 60 degrees and there’s a 50% chance of rain.

The current water temps Newport 63 degrees, Huntington 59 degrees, the South Bay showed as 63 degrees, Santa Monica 62 degrees and Malibu 61 degrees.
