SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA SURF FORECAST UPDATED 1-11-16
Follow us on Facebook Check it out!
For Wednesday morning the surf will slow down a hair, but continue to dish up plenty of size with OH to well OH sets for the better West facing breaks.
This swell roared in flexing its muscles and won’t go quietly, so don’t be shocked when some slightly out of context jumbo sets tip toe in and hand you your ass! keep your head on a swivel… it is definitely not done thumping!
* Morning tides look good and the sea surface should be CLEAN!

For Thursday morning the size will hold in the head high to overhead range for the best West facing breaks, but won’t be quite as consistent as Tues/Weds. There still may be a few surprises lurking out there, but it should make for a slightly more relaxed session!

The conditions should be fair with variable winds out of the East in the 2-7 MPH until around 11AM and then go 4-7 MPH out of the West in the afternoon. The air temp tops out at 61 degrees.
Friday morning will continue to dish up noteworthy swell with the best West facing breaks seeing head high to OH sets through the morning and tapering off a bit in the afternoon.
All of this energy will continue to have an ample amount of Westerly direction in it, which means that the more Southerly facing breaks will be receptive, (the swell will just be muffled).

Saturday morning will be smallest day we’ve seen in a while but the surf will remain formidable with head high plus sets throughout the day. Don’t be shocked if some larger scout sets from our next swell start to show up later in the afternoon.

The conditions look okay with variable breezes in the 1-4 MPH zone until around 11AM and then blow of the West at 5-11 MPH in the afternoon. There is a 10% chance of rain in the forecast and the air temp tops out at 65 degrees.
For Sunday morning it looks like someone put some more quarters in the wave making machine. Some Fresh NW swell, from a Westerly angle of 285-295 degrees, (16-18 second intervals), will start off with head high to OH sets at first light and morph into another OH to DOH beast as the day wears on.
The liberal angle of this swell will once again allow for it to get into almost all South facing breaks, (although obviously the swell will be smaller *but safer), than that of the West facing beaches.
