For Saturday morning the swell will hold and continue to rock the top West facing beaches with OH to DOH surf in the morning and then slowly start to taper off in the afternoon.

The conditions should be fair with light and variable breezes out of the East until 10AM and then 5-8 MPH out of the West in the afternoon The air temp dips to 64 degrees.

Sunday morning looks a bit smaller, (but still plenty of juice), with the top West facing breaks serving up Head High to OH + sets.

Looks like a wicked little storm will be pushing in quickly through the day and there will be a good chance of rain and some heinous winds whipping up mid-morning!

The conditions should start out okay for the early AM but deteriorate quickly late morning. We’ll see 3-7 MPH breezes out of the SE/SSE until 10AM and those will whip up to 10-14 + MPH shortly after and continue to gust into Monday. There’s now a 100% chance of rain and the air temp plummets to 60 degrees.

* Remember that it is advised to stay out of the water for 72 hours after any significant rain event. Just stating the obvious, I’m sure most of you already know the drill!

For Monday morning we’ll see a different spin on big surf with a dying ground swell and sizeable wind swell. I’m anticipating crummy, confused, surf in the OH zone. Barring an act of God it won’t be pretty out there.

The conditions look atrocious on paper today with all day double digit onshore winds blowing 16-30 MPH. The air temp tops out at 61 degrees.

For Tuesday morning the surf will be in the head high + zone but it will once again be of the confused wind swell variety.

The conditions look to improve at least a little bit with 8-10 MPH breezes out of the N/NNE at first light, (those are slated to last until about 10AM), and then things ease up with onshore winds in the 1-7 MPH zone until dark. The air temp tops out at 60 degrees.

The current water temps Newport 60 degrees, Huntington 60 degrees, the South Bay showed as 62 degrees, Santa Monica 60 degrees and Malibu 59 degrees.

I’ll be back on Sunday with the latest scoop!
