HURRICANE WATCH Sunday, July 6, 2014 No noteworthy developments.
My apologies for the lapse in service. I uploaded a new forecast yesterday, but apparently it vanished into a cyberspace black hole.
Monday morning is looking pretty solid as that powerful, steeply angled, long interval swell, (170-175 degrees with 20 second intervals), continues to light up the best South facing breaks with shoulder high to overhead sets. It should be fairly consistent and have some pop to it, but in order to score you’ll need to find a receptive, South facing break.

The conditions look fair with SE/SSE winds in the 1-4 MPH zone until 10AM and then those pick up to 9-11 MPH in the afternoon. The air temp tops out at a balmy 78 degrees.
Tuesday morning looks pretty good too, if you can get to a South facing break. There should be some nice chest to head high sets at the most exposed South facing beaches. Any place with a structured bottom should do well. The waves will be powerful, with long intervals and lots of water moving around, (and the beach breaks may be a little walled). Same angle 170-175, just slightly smaller and less consistent.

The conditions look tolerable with light winds out of the South in the 2-4 MPH zone until 10AM and then those pick up to 8-10 MPH in the afternoon. The air temp dips down to 74 degrees.
Wednesday morning looks okay as that South swell continues to weaken. That same 170-175 degree angle will visit the same beaches but be smaller and less consistent. When the sets do roll in the exposed breaks will see some chest high sets.

The conditions look okay again with light winds out of the West in the 1-3 MPH zone until 10AM and then those pick up to 10-13 MPH in the afternoon. The air temp tops out at 73 degrees.
Thursday morning will see the same scenario as the swell continues to wind down. Same angle, less consistent and smaller through the day. Top spots go waist high plus and you might want to bring a book to read between sets!
