For Thursday morning this pattern of gutless surf will continue with knee to waist high surf from that same steep 310 degree angle.

For Friday morning there’s no new tales to tell with more 8-10 second interval NW swell from a steep 310 degree angle.

The conditions look fair with SE winds in the 2-4 MPH zone until 10AM and then those pick up to 9-11 MPH in the afternoon. The air temp tops out at 78 degrees.
For Sunday morning we’ll see subtle change as some steeply angled, long interval South swell creeps in through the day. The angle is from a fairly severe 175-180 degrees and will only make a mark at the most exposed South facing breaks in the OC and San O’ areas. That should build in through the day and serve up chest high plus sets on Monday morning.

The conditions won’t be bad for spots that like a South wind. We’ll see breezes out of the SE in the 3-5 MPH zone until 10AM and then those pick up to 9-12 MPH in the afternoon. The air temp remains a toasty 78 degrees.
The current water temps Newport 67 degrees, Huntington 68 degrees, the South Bay showed as 69 degrees, Santa Monica 65 degrees and Malibu 65 degrees.
