* Beware of the Urban Runoff – It’s recommended that you stay out of the water for 72-hours following the end of any measurable rain-event. If you do choose to roll the dice be sure to wear ear plugs and shower with piping hot water after your session. Rinse your ears with an alcohol and vinegar solution and don’t be shy about busting out the netti pot or neil med rinse…

Wednesday morning should see the peak of this swell with some nice chest to shoulder high plus sets for beaches that like a 190-200 angle. It’s moderately steep so many of the West facing breaks will barely get a whiff of it as it passes on by. The OC and San O’ area should be biggest and best. The point breaks to the North should get some love too, but may be a bit more tide sensitive.

* 08:19 AM 5.24 feet High Tide

The conditionslook good for the morning as high pressure moves in and sets up camp for a few days. We’ll see Easterly winds in the 5-14 MPH zone, (stronger below passes and canyons), most of the day and 7-11 MPH winds out of the West in the afternoon. The air temp jumps up to 69 degrees.

On Thursday morning that swell slowly start to back down but the better South facing breaks should continue to pull in some solid chest high + sets. It will be a little less consistent and there’s a high tide to contend with, but there will still be some meat left on that bone!

The conditions could go either way but the models today are calling for N/NNE winds, (too much North in the angle and it will screw up the ocean surface at many spots), in the 6-10 MPH zone until 11AM, (stronger below passes and canyons), and 6-8 MPH Westerly breezes in the afternoon. The air temp tops out at 72.
