SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA SURF FORECAST UPDATED 3-9-14
For Monday morning we’ll see yet another pulse of ground swell grace the West facing breaks as some fresh 14-16 second energy moves in from a fairly liberal, 290-295 degree angle. The better West facing breaks should go shoulder to head high with the possibility of some larger sets.
The tide is a bit high at 6AM but drains out quickly through the morning.

The conditions look great again with winds out of the East in the 2-4 MPH range until 11AM and mild 5-7 MPH winds out of the West in the afternoon. The air temp will plummet to 72 degrees, (a 10 degree drop from Sunday, but still sounds good to me).
For Tuesday morning this energy will hold and continue to crank out shoulder to head high sets for the most exposed West facing beaches.
Tide is a tad high for the AM, but not overwhelming and it leaks out quickly after 7AM.

By Wednesday morning the swell will take a little dip in size with smaller, less consistent sets from a slightly steeper 295-300 degrees. Top spots should still have some fun waist to chest high plus sets on the right window.

The conditions look great with NNE winds in the 3-18 MPH range all day long, (stronger below passes and canyons), and the air temp jumps up to 78 degrees.
For Thursday morning thinks will start off on the small side, but we’ll see another shot of NW energy start to show mid/late day. This swell will move in from a steeper 300-305 degree angle, with 16-18 second intervals and should be good for chest to shoulder high sets. I’ll have a better handle on this tomorrow…
