SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA SURF FORECAST UPDATED 5-10-15

Monday morning looks pretty bleak as we go back to the drawing board. No swell of substance is out there so we’ll dip back into the knee to waist high zone everywhere.
The better news is that some fresh, long interval swell will start to fill in later in the day. This 16+ second interval will move in from 210-215 degree angle and be in play for Tuesday morning.

The conditions look okay early with variable 2-6 MPH breezes until 10AM and 9-11 MPH out of the West in the afternoon. The air temp tops out at 70 degrees.
Tuesday morning we’ll see that smallish, SW ground swell dish up waist to possibly waist high + sets at the top South facing beaches.
Also in the mix will be some small, steeply angled NW wind swell with 8-10 second intervals from a 310-315 degree angle.
All tolled it won’t add up to much collectively but should give you a little something to float your proverbial boat.

For Wednesday morning we’ll see some stronger, fresh SW energy start to show up later in the day. This new swell will roll in from a fairly steep 185-190 degree angle and go chest to shoulder high plus by days end. Don’t expect too much in the AM but with systems like this sometimes the optimistic early bird will snag a few scout sets!
