For Wednesday morning is shaping up to an interesting day for waves. There are multiple swells from multiple angles and the end result will differ from beach to beach.

That long interval SW swell, (mentioned above), will peak from 200-210 degrees and be good for chest to head high sets at the exposed South facing beaches.

The second swell will consist of some short interval, steeply angled, NW energy and that should generate chest to shoulder high peaks for the better West facing breaks, (and should help to break up that SW energy a bit).

Lastly we’ll have some Hurricane Amanda swell moving up the line from an absolutely sideways 160-170 degree angle. This swell will have some size to it but the extreme angle will only allow it into the super exposed spots like Newport, Huntington a few other select beaches.

The multiple swell angles will make the hunt for surf all that more exciting.

For Thursday morning we’ll see continued short interval NW wind swell in the waist to chest high zone. The 14-16 second interval SW energy, (210 degrees), will continue in the chest high plus range for the standout South facing breaks. Lastly, that Hurricane swell will continue to get into the exposed South facing breaks with chest high plus sets.
