HURRICANE WATCH: Tropical Depression 21 is located about 465 miles southwest of Manzanillo, Mexico. It is currently stationary, but will eventually travel in a northwestward direction over the next several days.
The storm will likely strengthen and become a tropical storm tonight or Thursday. It will be named Rick. This system is not expected to affect land areas directly through the end of this week.
Thursday morning looks similar with another dose of 12-14 second interval wind swell from a 305-310 degree angle. Best West facing breaks should go waist high plus.

The conditionslook great with winds out of the NE/NNE in the 5-10 MPH zone until noon, (stronger below the passes and canyons), and mild Westerly winds in the afternoon. The air temp jumps up to 78 degrees.
For Friday morning there won’t be much of a change. If anything it looks smaller with knee to waist high surf.

For Saturday morning we will see leftover NW wind swell in the knee to waist high range.

The conditions look to fair again with variable breezes out of the East in the 1-6 MPH until noon and 4-6 MPH out of the West in the afternoon. The air temp hangs tough at degrees.

The conditions look good again with E/NE breezes in the 4-8 MPH until noon and 2-5 MPH out of the West in the afternoon. The air temp dips to 70 degrees.
The current water temps Newport 64 degrees, Huntington 60 degrees, the South Bay showed as 61 degrees, Santa Monica 611 degrees and Malibu 61 degrees.
