HURRICANE WATCH 10-17-13

Priscilla is no longer a tropical system and will continue to weaken over the next day or so as it tracks westward over open waters of the central Pacific.

The remainder of the basin is likely to remain quiet during the next couple of days. We are watching an area of showers and thunderstorms off the coast of Central America. This feature will remain disorganized for the next couple of days, but could show some signs of development by late in the weekend or early next week.

For Tuesday morning we will see a bump out of the NW from a steep 310 degree angle. Nothing to get real excited about, but the top West facing beaches should see waist to chest high sets at the best West facing breaks. The angle is a bit too steep, so only the better spots will see much action.
