SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA SURF FORECAST UPDATED 9-15-13
______________________________________________________________________________
Okay, kind of a let down this morning, but everything played out as expected. Smaller, inconsistent surf and at El Porto at least, elbow to elbow crowds as far as the eye could see. I literally, could of hopped from one person to the next and made it to the Manhattan Pier. Lots of new shiny, happy, faces out there… just don’t ditch your board to dive under a 2 foot wave and smile at me!!! Thanks!!!

HURRICANE WATCH 9-13-13
Satellite imagery shows an expansive, but disorganized area of thunderstorms off the Mexican coast just to the southwest of the Gulf of Tehuantepec. However, given the strong shear across this cluster of thunderstorms and its closeness to land, further development and organization over the next couple of days seems unlikely.

Tuesday morning looks like we have a chance at a rather small jump in size with some 12-14 second energy out of the NW from a steep 300-305 degree angle putting the best West facing breaks in the waist high plus zone.
There’s also, some weak energy coming up from the extreme South. This is some 175 degree energy coming up basically sideways and will only impact select spots in the OC.
