SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA SURF FORECAST UPDATED 9-2-13
______________________________________________________________________________

HURRICANE WATCH 9-2-13

Satellite imagery of Tropical Depression Kiko shows a well-defined system with good symmetry. However, there is a glaring lack of thunderstorm activity which indicates that Kiko is not a strong system. Kiko is moving over increasingly cool ocean water which will weaken the system even further into Monday night.

If fact, Kiko should lose tropical characteristics over the next 24 hours with no warm water available. Kiko will produce some rough surf and dangerous rip currents along the Baja California coast for the balance of Monday before conditions improve quickly Tuesday into Wednesday.
