SURF FORECAST UPDATED 1-3-13
We have good winds, good waves and good tides into the foreseeable future. The Santa Ana conditions will remain throughout the week, the jet stream has dropped down far enough to open the door to all NPAC activity and 2013 hold plenty of promise all of a sudden. Happy Frickin’ New Year Baby!
Friday will be smaller with fading, 12-14 second interval swell coming in from the same 290-295 degree angle. The top breaks should be able to drum up shoulder to head high plus sets. The tides look good early and good conditions will continue to be the norm.

The conditions look excellent as Mother Nature continues to blow us offshore kisses in the form of NE/NNE winds in the 3-8 MPH zone until 2:00PM, (and inconsequential weak West winds in the late afternoon). We’ll see an air temp of 66 degrees.
Saturday morning will be smaller and less consistent with chest to shoulder high sets. The tide shouldn’t be much of an issue throughout the day and high pressure should remain intact.

For Sunday morning things will start off on the small side with waist high plus sets for the better West facing beaches. The tide shouldn’t be much of an issue for the early bird and we’ll start to see some stronger NW swell fill in throughout the day. The most exposed West facing beaches should go head high to overhead by days end.
