SURF FORECAST UPDATED 2-1-13
Saturday morning is looking pretty small for the AM with leftover, waist high plus sets for the top spots. We should start to see some larger scout sets move in later in the day and that should fill in under the cloak of darkness.

2013-02-02 Sat 07:01 PM 1.58 feet Low Tide
The conditions look fair for the AM, with very light winds in the 1-3 MPH range until around 11AM and mild 6-8 MPH West winds into the afternoon. We’ll see an air temp of 70 degrees.
By Sunday morning we should be back in the chips as that long interval, NW energy puts the better West facing beaches into the head high to overhead range on the sets. The swell will move in at a fairly liberal angle of 290 degrees with some muscley 18-20 second intervals. I’m not sure that the beach breaks will be real receptive to those long, powerful lines, so a reef or point will likely yield a much better payoff.

The conditions should be relatively clean with light and variable breezes in the 1-6 MPH range until around 11AM and timid, 5-8 MPH West winds into the afternoon. We’ll see an air temp of 69 degrees.
Monday morning will be a bit smaller, but continue to dish up some punishing, 16 second interval sets from the same angle. The top West facing breaks should be head high to a couple feet overhead.

By Tuesday morning there will be a more significant drop off as the periods dip into the 12-14 second interval zone and the exposed West facing breaks dole out waist to shoulder high sets, (with a few stray cat larger waves mixing in).
