All shots by William H. Mertz
Good Afternoon from Troncones, MX and Manzanillo Bay
We have been experiencing a bit of a lull in the swell lately. Today only showing waist to shoulder high in most spots. I am going to use this as an opportunity to show you why Troncones can be such a great place for a surf vacation.
This series of shots come from three different breaks today, each showing VERY different conditions and all within 5 minutes of each other. Some are from Punta El Faro on the south end of Troncones Beach, some from the beach break and the last couple from Troncones point. So while the conditions are not “ideal” there were waves to be had.
Mostly cloudy this morning with some light rain.
Forecasts show conditions improving in the coming days with mid-week looking especially good.
Air temperature in the upper 80′s to low 90’s and water temp is around 86. We are into the rainy season so possible intermittent daily showers and partly to mostly cloudy skies.
Sunrise is 7:29 and sunset 20:11. High tide at 10:57 and 2.4 ft.
