SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA SURF FORECAST UPDATED 2-26-13
Here’s a pretty bad ass video of some heaving South Bay barrels in the month of February! – Check out the video courtesy of Civic Couch!
Well today looked good on paper but didn’t really pan out in the real world. The buoys jumped up, but remained steep and most of the energy shimmied on by us. No to worry… there’s more swell out there and the weather should be phenomenal over the next few days.
For Thursday morning it looks like we will see that NW energy taper off into the waist high zone for the better West facing beaches. The SW swell I mentioned above should dish up waist to chest high sets for the better South facing spots.

Friday morning the surf out of the SW will continue to deliver waist to chest high sets from the 190-200 degree angle. The West facing spots will dip into the waist high zone with a few larger waves on occasion.

On Saturday morning the SW swell will cough up one more decent day of waves, with less consistent sets in the waist to chest high range. We should also see some fresh, NW energy fill in through the day and be good for chest to shoulder high sets later in the day.
