SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA SURF FORECAST UPDATED 4-25-13
Sorry for the late post… it’s tough to stay interested in the surf when I’m only chasing rainbows on steep South swells. The good news is that my golf game has vastly improved and it looks like we’ll get some fun, more liberally angled SW swell from Tues to possibly Friday. Hang tight, I will be on top of all near future developments as always.
For Saturday morning we will see knee to waist high surf most everywhere with occasional sets out of the S/SW.

Sunday morning looks pretty weak with small background swell out of the NW and sporadic blips of energy out of the South and South West.

The conditions look okay with variable breezes in the 2-6 MPH zone until noon and those will get up to the 8-10 MPH zone out of the West for the afternoon. The air temp will top out at 72 degrees.
Monday morning is shaping up to be another stinker for the AM, with only small, steeply angled NW wind swell in the knee to waist high zone. The better news is that some new, SW energy is slated to slide in late in the day. This should kick up some chest to shoulder high sets under the cloak of darkness and be in play for Tuesday morning,

The conditions look reasonable with a SE flow and breezes in the 2-5 MPH zone until 11AM and those will get up to the 8-11 MPH zone out of the West for the afternoon. The air temp will top out at 69 degrees.
Tuesday morning should be the best day we’ve seen in a while with that 200 degree, long interval SW swell in play. Any spot with a peek at the South should see some fun chest to shoulder high sets. The energy will be more even dispersed so the OC won’t be the only game in town. There should be lots of choices out there, but with the long intervals the points and reefs look like the best option.

The conditions look fair for spots that can handle a South wind, we’ll have breezes out of the SE/SSE in the 2-4 MPH zone until 11AM and those will get up to the 8-10 MPH zone out of the West for the afternoon. The air temp will top out at 68 degrees.

I’ll be back on Sunday with the next update!
