SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA SURF FORECAST UPDATED 6-6-13
______________________________________________________________________________

The swell took it’s sweet time getting here but looks pretty solid now with some juicy, 20 second + intervals showing on the buoys. Should be pretty solid through the weekend so good luck to you!

For Friday morning the SW energy will hold and continue to dish up some bruising, well overhead sets for the top spots. This is a deepwater swell and will have plenty of muscle to it, so watch out for larger than normal sneaker sets and some heavy rips. The points and reefs will undoubtedly handle the energy best. Many of the beach breaks will likely be long and walled!

On Saturday morning things will start to slowly back down but there will be no shortage of swell out there. Top spots will go head high to overhead, from that same 190-200 degree angle, but the periods will lessen and the consistency and power will drop off.

We should also see some small, steeply angled 8-10 second interval wind swell mix in. This can only help out the shape at the beach breaks.
