For Thursday morning we’ll see another round of NW energy pick up steam throughout the day. The morning should dish up chest high sets out of the NW, (6-8 second intervals from 310 degrees), and inconsistent waist to chest high sets out of the SW, (14 second intervals from a 185-190 degrees). The wave size should get into the head high zone throughout the day.
* Nice tide push through the morning.

The conditions look temperamental and although we’re leaning toward a pseudo Santa Ana condition the wind models continue to show onshore winds, (check out the model below). The air temp tops out at a toasty 73 degrees.
For Friday morning the NW swell will peak with head high plus surf for the exposed West facing breaks. Brutal winds are forecasted to accompany the surf so it could be ugly out there. We’ll also see inconsistent SW swell with 14 second intervals from that same 185-190 degrees.

The conditions look great as of today the models with NE/NNE breezes at 6-15 until noon, (stronger below passes and canyons), and 6-18 MPH out of the West in the afternoon. The air temp climbs up to 80 degrees on the sand.
For Sunday morning we’ll see leftover NW wind swell in the waist to chest high + zone and that new SW energy will continue to build in through the day. It’s a 3 foot, deep water swell with 16-18 second intervals from a 200 degree direction. That means that the sets will have some pop to them and the top spots should see OH waves. Looks like it might be the money day for the points and reefs. Tides a bit low early which could make things tough but there should be no shortage of swell!
