Hasta Lavista El Nino – Well, hopefully you got your fair share of thrills and waves out of that El Nino surf season. It never exceeded expectations but it definitely didn’t disappoint! Plenty of Oh to DOH to even TOH days out there for those who wanted to see what they were made of, and the angle of most swells allowed for safe haven sessions at those beaches that were not directly in the crosshairs of the energy.
Personally, I didn’t bag as many barrels as I would of liked but surfed plenty of jumbo waves. Some successes mixed with just as many failures, (documented beatings)! Thanks to Lucio Gomes for working his lensical magic throughout the surf season. Great pictures and good times!
It looks like it really is over now… South swell season is upon us so keep your fingers crossed that the Southern Hemisphere lights up and we have a healthy Hurricane season. Enjoy it!
For Tuesday we’ll fade into waist high range with very sporadic larger sets at the top spots. High tide will likely shut things down early!
