For Monday morning the surf will begin to back down but the exposed beaches will continue to churn out chest to head high + sets in the morning and then slowly taper off later in the day.
This leftover energy will march on at that same 290-300 degree angle, but the intervals will degrade to 12-14 second intervals.

The conditions look excellent with 7-12 MPH breezes out of the East all day long, (much stronger below the passes and canyons). The air temp tops out at 78 degrees.
For Tuesday morning the surf will dip further leaving us with inconsistent chest high + sets in the AM for the best West facing beaches. This swell will continue to die out of the same direction and we’ll slip down into 12 second interval territory.

The conditions remain good with 2-10 MPH breezes out of the East until noon, (stronger below the passes and canyons), and mild breezes out of the West in the afternoon. The air temp hits the 79 degree mark.
By Wednesday morning we will start to see some fresh swell from Japan begin to hit Southern California. This energy will have powerful 15-17 second intervals, from a 290-295 degree angle), and should put the better West facing breaks into the shoulder to head high range for the morning and incrementally increase through the day.

The conditions should be okay with 6-14 MPH breezes out of the E/SE until late afternoon and 3-10 PPH out of the West in the late afternoon. There is a 10% chance of rain and the air temp tops out at 71 degrees.
For Thursday morning that Japan swell will peak in the AM and put the top West facing breaks into the shoulder to head high plus zone on the better sets.
High tide really starts to work its way into the mix so consider yourself advised.

The conditions should be okay with variable 2-7 MPH breezes until noon and 4-10 MPH out of the West in the afternoon. There is a 20% chance of rain and the air temp plummets to 65 degrees.
The current water temps Newport 60 degrees, Huntington 61 degrees, the South Bay showed as 59 degrees, Santa Monica 60 degrees and Malibu 59 degrees.
