* Beware of the Urban Runoff – It is advised to stay out of the water for 72 hours following any measurable rain fall. It’s always a roll of the dice, especially after a major downpour. The threat of getting sick is very real so if you do insist on taking the plunge be sure to use ear plugs an upon exiting the ocean, rinse off in hot water, use some alcohol based ear drops… and a nasal netti pot rinse for good measure never hurt anybody.

For Monday morning we’re looking at inconsistent waist to chest high sets as that last swell says its final farewell. We had a good run of surf but it looks like a tough week with unsettled conditions, rain and no real significant swell until the weekend.

For Tuesday morning, if the models hold true, we should be in for a combination of NW wind swell and a little pulse of NW ground swell. Together they should be good for waist to chest high sets at the better West facing breaks but the conditions look sketchy.

The conditions look iffy again for the morning with variable winds out of the West in the 2-6 MPH range until noon and 8-11 MPH out of the West in the afternoon. There is a 10% chance of rain and the air temp jumps up to 65 degrees.

For Thursday morning things will start off about the same with a combo of NW wind and ground swell in the waist to chest high range but some larger NW energy will begin roll in later in the day. The top West facing breaks should see head high + sets by sundown.
