It seems like this Winter swell season is slipping away quickly as we navigate into late January, and I for one, feel like I’m far off pace from my usual wave quota. Too big, too small, too rainy, too walled, the tide was too high… there’s a million reasons to not surf, but you always feel better when you paddle out! Early February looks really promising as a myriad of wave making systems are heading squarely into our swell window. Lets make the the best of what we have left. March is just around the corner….

For Saturday morning our powerful NW swell will already be on a slow, methodical decline, but continue to dish up meaty OH to WOH sets in the AM. An early high tide around 9AM should make things a bit more manageable and a Santa Ana condition will make for a nicely groomed sea surface.
