For any naysayers out there, sssshhhh…. El Nino is definitely here and showing some sharp fangs for an infant! That was some of the hardest rain I’ve ever seen in So Cal and even rivaled the best of tropical downpours at times.
It looks like we’ll see a couple more days of oversized surf before things temporarily dull down, but make no mistake about it, the proverbial flood gates are open, so fasten your seat belts and hold on tight!
For Thursday morning we’ll see our biggest surf of the season so far. The top West facing breaks will be thumping, pumping and dumping with DOH (Double Overhead) to TOH (Triple Overhead) plus waves.
With the drop in the jet stream these swells will continue to have quite a bit of West in them, (275-295 degrees), and will definitely push their way into every nook and cranny on the coast.
*Be wary of the urban runoff. The water quality will continue to be compromised.
