SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA SURF FORECAST UPDATED 7-17-13
We have no tropical activity at this time.
For Thursday morning things will start off on the slow side with the West facing breaks seeing some small scale wind swell and the South facing beaches hoping to see some scout sets from the impending SW swell.
The good news is that some fresh, 3 foot, deepwater, long interval swell will weave it’s way later in the day. This one should have some pop to it with 18 second intervals and a fairly liberal 200 degree angle. By Friday morning the most exposed South facing spots should go shoulder to head high plus. I’ll continue to track this through the week and update accordingly.

Friday morning looks is looking pretty good as that long interval energy should be in full swing. The top spots in the OC and San O’ areas could see some overhead sets. This swell should work good at all the points and reefs to the North as well. The tides look excellent for the morning so get out there and have some fun.
