This place is on my bucket list! I cringe with jealousy every time this guy Ray sends me pix of this place. After pulling into 1000’s of closeout barrels at El Porto I can only imagine what it’s like to know you at least have a chance to make one of these mind blowing tubes. NEXT YEAR BABY! HURRICANE WATCH Wednesday, July 31, 2014 – Tropical Storm Iselle is located over open waters of the eastern Pacific, about 1,100 miles southwest of the southern tip of Baja California. Maximum sustained winds are 40 mph, and the storm is moving west-northwest at 10 mph. Iselle will strengthen further over the next couple of days and could become a hurricane by Saturday.

A pair of disturbances, one located several hundred miles south of Acapulco, Mexico, and the other about 1,500 miles east-southeast of the Big Island of Hawaii, remain disorganized at this time. However, as these disturbances move steadily westward, they could slowly become better organized later this week.

It’s been a tough few weeks, months, years… I remember back when…. oh sh#t, I’m even sounding old to myself! Well, I’m really pissed off at Mother Nature, and other than my Mexico trip in late May, have been pretty much stymied as far as legitimate surf goes! I’ve been watching the US Open in Huntington over the last few days on the internet, and that has had some little surf, but even then, it’s tough to watch the best guys in the world grovel on burgers and hop for 50 yards to get one more off the lip in the shore pound! Seeing those pics of Kandui today just makes me realize that I shouldn’t be complaining, I should be combing the planet for waves. Unfortunately, like most of you, I don’t have that kind of freedom, money, or a wife that would tolerate that behavior, but just to know it’s out there if you want it is comforting in a sick kind of way!
