* Beware of the Urban Runoff – It’s recommended that you stay out of the water for 72-hours following the end of any measurable rain-event. If you do choose to roll the dice be sure to wear ear plugs and shower with piping hot water after your session. Rinse your ears with an alcohol and vinegar solution and don’t be shy about busting out the netti pot or neil med rinse… NOT READY YET – My updates were lost in cyber space- rewriting now!

For Monday morning we’re looking at smaller surf with nothing more than waist high plus wind swell leftovers.

* A 07:14 AM 5.23 feet High Tide will put most breaks into a Rousey sleeper hold through the AM hours.

The conditions should be fair, with variable, 1-4 MPH breezes until around 11AM and 9-11 MPH West winds through the afternoon. The air temp tops out at 61 degrees and there’s a 20% chance of rain.

For Tuesday morning we’re looking for continued smaller surf as that wind swell fades and leaves us with knee to waist high surf at the better West facing breaks.

The good news is that our first semi-legit South swell is on the way and some scout sets should start to show later in the AM. This one will be rolling in at a 190-200 degree angle with 16-18 second intervals. This should be good for some chest high plus sets with a little kick to them for Wednesday morning.

Hopefully this is the kick off to a long and prosperous South Swell season.

2015-03-03 Tue 05:51 PM Sunset
2015-03-03 Tue 08:47 PM 4.30 feet High Tide

The conditions should be fair early with variable, 3-6 MPH breezes out of the East until around 10AM and 9-13 MPH West winds through the afternoon. The air temp tops out at 63 degrees.

Wednesday morning should see the peak of this swell with some nice chest to shoulder high plus sets for beaches that like a 190 + angle. It’s moderately steep so many of the West facing breaks will barely get a whiff of it as it passes on by. The OC and San O’ area should be biggest and best. The point breaks to the North should get some love too but may be a bit more tide sensitive.

* 08:19 AM 5.24 feet High Tide

2015-03-04 Wed 05:52 PM Sunset
2015-03-04 Wed 09:09 PM 4.43 feet High Tide

The conditionslook good for the morning with Easterly, 2-5 MPH breezes until 11AM and 7-11 MPH winds out of the West in the afternoon. The air temp tops out at 66 degrees.
______________________________________________________________________________

On Thursday morning that swell slowly start to back down but the better South facing breaks should continue to pull in chest high sets. It will be a little less consistent and there’s a high tide to contend with but there will still be some meat left on that bone!

* 08:49 AM 5.13 feet High Tide

Thursday
2015-03-05 Thu 02:48 AM 0.98 feet Low Tide
2015-03-05 Thu 06:07 AM Moonset
2015-03-05 Thu 06:17 AM Sunrise

2015-03-05 Thu 06:08 PM Moonrise
2015-03-05 Thu 09:30 PM 4.54 feet High Tide

The conditions could go either way but the models today are calling for N/NNE winds in the 6-10 MPH zone until 11AM, (too much North in the angle and it will screw up the ocean surface at many spots), and 8-10 MPH Westerly breezes in the afternoon. The air temp tops out at 70.
