AN FYI MOMENT: Courtesy of SWELLMAGNET and Heal the Bay – Today Matt King, (Of Heal the Bay), and a few of his surf cronies parked in the Grand Parking lot and hoofed into mid-El Porto to beat the crowds. Little did they know that there were surfer snipers watching their every move and ultimately pulling the Scamburglar car robbery. Basically, (as most Surfers know), a couple of Clowns will hide in the bushes and watch you hide your car key – next you go surfing – next they rip you off – no real surprises here. Bottom line is a bunch of cars were robbed today, (wallets, cell phones, CC’s charged and a full headache to follow), so be smart and don’t hide your keys in plain sight, because someone is watching, and noooo, they’re not really hidden!

Sorry to drone on about this but I’m a qualified victim. 4 years ago, I got out of the water after a good surf, (at El Porto), and said to myself, (like an alzheimer victim), where the F$#K did I park my ride???? My car had been stolen because I was lame enough to hide my keys in plain sight…. Don’t be a victim!!!! Never again! If you see suspicious people trolling around in El Segundo, Manhattan, Hermosa Torrance or PV call the F%$King Cops!!! They’re bored stiff most of the time… get ’em in the rotation!

For Tuesday morning we’ll see continued waist to possibly chest surf out of the SW as another pulse of energy filters in right on the heels of its predecessor. This swell will have the same angle of 200 degrees and 14-15 second intervals. Likely long lulls as is customary for South swells but it should be fun!

The conditions could go either way but are leaning toward fair + for spots that like a SE direction. On paper we’re due to to see SE/SSE winds in the 5-10 MPH zone all day long. There’s a 90% chance of rain and the air temp remains 61 degrees.

For Wednesday morning the surf will be on the fade with predominately waist high leftover surf for most areas but we will see the start of some fresh NW energy start to filter in throughout the afternoon. Looks like some weather will be holding hands with new swell so keep your already low expectations even lower…

The conditions look a little sketchy as an onshore flow and rain is close to a foregone conclusion. We’ll see swirling onshore winds at 6-16 MPH winds all day long. There’s an 80% chance of rain and the air temp holds at 61 degrees.

For Thursday morning we’ll see some fresh NW energy roll in from a 280-290 degree angle with 12-14 second medium interval surf in the shoulder high plus zone with larger OH sets at the top, deep water, West facing beaches. There will also be some small but powerful energy moving in out of the SW.

Combo west swell 3.6 ft @ 12-14 secs
South swell 1.3 ft @ 17-18 secs

The tide is on the ripe side early but the winds look to be the main concern.
