For Tuesday morning we’ll see some fresh W/SW energy build in later in the day. This swell should go waist high in the early AM and get up to chest to shoulder high by days end.

2014-12-02 Tue 05:49 AM 5.97 feet High Tide

The conditions look a bit dodgey, as my English friends would say, as heavy rains are forecasted to blitz the coast. It’s listed as a 100% chance…maybe it should just be called 1005% sure at this point! However, the wind models are singing a different tune with variable breezes out of the East at 4-13 MPH all day long.

*Heavy rain has be conspicuously absent so far this year so if it does indeed pour like it is supposed to you might want to stay out of the water for a few days. I’m anticipating a toxic stew like we haven’t seen for years and until the Rip Curl 3/2 hazmat model is released to the public it will definitely be a roll of the dice! The air temp dips to 63 degrees.

* Beware of the Urban Runoff – It’s recommended that you stay out of the water for 72-hours following the end of any measurable rain-event. If you do choose to roll the dice be sure to wear ear plugs and shower with piping hot water after your session. Rinse your ears with an alcohol and vinegar solution and don’t be shy about busting out the netti pot or neil med rinse… It’s really nothing to f#$k around with!
