______________________________________________________________________________

HURRICANE WATCH: Two weak areas of low pressure well southwest of Mexico will be monitored the next few days. One is located about 500 miles south of the southern tip of Baja California, and the other about 1,000 miles southwest of the southern tip of Baja California.

Both systems are expected to drift north or northeast the next day or two. However, strong upper-level winds will inhibit development of both of these lows and most computer forecast models show them dissipating later this week.s expected over the next 3-5 days and the only thunderstorm activity will occur across the ITCZ.

Wednesday morning should be fun if the conditions shape up. We’ll see smaller, fading, NW ground swell and wind swell in the chest to shoulder high plus range for the morning.

The conditions looks iffy for the AM with variable breezes, (leaning onshore), in the 4-6 MPH zone until noon and 10-12 MPH out of the West in the afternoon. The air temp hits the 69 degree mark.

Thursday morning looks smaller as all NW energy fizzles out through the day. The top spots should be good for waist to chest high surf for the best West facing beaches!

Friday morning looks smallish with very little NW energy left. It looks like we’ll be dependent on small but potent energy out of the SW. This swell will move in from 215-220 degrees with 14-16 second intervals and should dish up sets in the waist high plus zone for South facing breaks with a few larger sets in the OC and San O’ areas.

Friday
2015-11-06 Fri 01:45 AM Moonrise
2015-11-06 Fri 06:17 AM Sunrise

2015-11-06 Fri 04:56 PM Sunset
2015-11-06 Fri 06:17 PM 4.24 feet High Tide

The conditions could go either way as todays wind model is showing Northerly breezes mixed with NNE breezes at 5-8 MPH at most spots but stronger below the passes and canyons. A couple degrees of direction can make or break a morning so hopefully there’s more East than North in the direction. We’ll see 8-10 MPH winds out of the West in the afternoon. The air temp tops out at 73 degrees.

For Saturday morning we will see more of the same with the blips of SW energy being the only game in town. The size should mirror that of Friday so nothing real intriguing but some fun little lines at the best South facing breaks.

2015-11-07 Sat 02:38 AM Moonrise

2015-11-07 Sat 04:56 PM Sunset
2015-11-07 Sat 07:00 PM 4.28 feet High Tide

The conditions look fantastic in the morning with NNE breezes in the 5-10 MPH until noon, (at most spots but stronger below the passes and canyons), and 8-10 MPH out of the West in the afternoon. The air temp tops out at 75 degrees.
