HURRICANE WATCH: There are 3 weak areas of low pressure well southwest of Mexico but no tropical storms are predicted to form.

Thursday morning looks smaller as all NW energy backs down slowly through the day. The top spots should be good for waist to chest high + surf in the morning for the best West facing beaches! The conditions look excellent as high pressure promotes a clean ocean surface through most of the day.

Friday morning looks smallish with very little NW energy left. It looks like we’ll be dependent on small but potent energy out of the SW. This swell will start to move in later in the day, from 215-220 degrees with 14-16 second intervals and should dish up sets in the waist high plus zone for South facing breaks with a few larger sets in the OC and San O’ areas by sun down.

The conditions look fantastic again with NE/NNE breezes at 2-8 MPH at most spots but stronger below the passes and canyons. We’ll see 6-8 MPH winds out of the West in the afternoon. The air temp tops out at 75 degrees.

For Saturday morning we will see more of the same with the blips of SW energy being the only game in town. The size should go waist high plus on the sets with some fun little lines at the best South facing breaks. The fat early morning high tide will definitely slow things down a bit.

Sunday morning looks about the same for the AM with waist high plus sets from that same 215-220 degree angle and that will fizzle out in the afternoon.
Once again you’ll have to contend with a pretty beefy tide just after 7AM.
