HURRICANE WATCH 10-27-13
Raymond continues on a northward path to the southwest of the Baja Peninsula. This system was downgraded to a tropical storm on Monday evening. Raymond’s track toward the north will move it into a much less favorable environment in the near future. It will encounter cooler waters and stronger winds aloft that will cause shear, as well as a drier air mass, so Raymond will continue to weaken during the next couple of days. By Thursday, Raymond will have dissipated.
There are no other areas of interest in the East Pacific basin right now.

For Wednesday morning we will see small, steeply angled, NW wind swell in the waist high plus range for the better West facing breaks.
The most exposed South facing beaches will chest high plus sets, (cortesy of Hurricane Raymond), from a steep 170-175 degrees. The angle is very severe and will only get into the top spots in the OC and San O’ areas.
