Today’s Slideshow is courtesy of friends at Kandui Resort in Indo. This is not the same sequence as yesterday, but the same guy scoring another perfect barrel on an out of season swell! Looks a little better that anything I’ve seen in the South Bay lately… ha ha!
SURF FORECAST UPDATED 11-27-12
As one of the worst Novembers I can ever remember, draws to a close, it will try and make amends with some more legitimate swell, (on both Thursday and Friday), before handing the reins over to December. Too little too late November! Hopefully the wind and rain don’t muck up our chances of getting some decent surf, but it seems like Mother Nature has been purposely torturing us lately. Keep your fingers crossed, things can only get better… right?
Tuesday morning looks a bit smaller with just background swell in the waist high zone for the better spots.
A 6 foot high tide at 7:43AM will make minced meat out of the small surf. I’d hunt for some smooth, flat rocks… ideal for skipping stones from the shore.

The conditions look good again with variable winds out of the East in the 3-5 MPH range until around noon and fairly tame, 2-5 MPH breezes out of the West in the afternoon. There’s a 20% chance of rain and we’ll see an air temp of 64 degrees.
Wednesday morning is shaping up to be a real stinker with the surf wallowing in the knee to waist high range and a jumbo, 6 foot high tide right around 8AM.
The good news is that some fresh West swell will be working it’s way down the line and should be in play for Thursday morning.

The conditions look interesting with S/SSE winds in the 1-6 MPH range all day long. There’s also a 50% chance of rain so keep those umbrellas handy. Look for an air temp of 62 degrees.
For Thursday morning the NW energy will bump into the head high to possibly overhead zone for the top West facing breaks. This swell will have way more West in it than we’ve seen so far this winter, which means it will be less picky about what beaches it pays a visit to. We should see, 12-14 second intervals from a 280 degree angle.

The conditions look fair with E/SE winds from 3-9 MPH all day long. There’s a 30% chance of rain and we’ll have an air temp of 62 degrees.
For Friday morning the NW energy will increase a hair and the most exposed West facing breaks should see well overhead sets. The angle and intervals won’t change much, so if nothing else we should have plenty of waves. The winds are the biggest variable in the equation.

The conditions look okay early with variable, Easterly winds from 2-4 MPH until noon and 4-6 MPH out of the West until dark. There’s a 20% chance of rain and the air temp will top out at 63 degrees.
For Saturday morning the swell should hold with continued head high to few feet overhead sets, (for the top West facing spots). The conditions look a little suspect so check the cams before you head out.

The conditions a bit sketchy with variable winds out of the West in the 3-5 MPH range until around 11AM and 8-10 MPH breezes out of the West in the afternoon. There’s a 20% chance of rain and we’ll see an air temp of 62 degrees.
Sunday morning looks a bit smaller with but there will still be plenty of West swell out there. The better spots should continue to dish up shoulder to head high plus sets and spots that can handle the Southerly winds should be pretty fun.
