HURRICANE WATCH: Since the dissipation of Sandra yesterday, the Eastern Pacific has quieted down and no tropical activity is expected through this week.
For Monday we should see another jump up in size for the best West facing breaks. We’ll see 16 second interval NW ground swell, (from 300-305 degrees), in the chest to shoulder high zone for the top beaches and that should continue to strengthen through the day.

The conditions look awesome with NE/NNE winds at 3-10 MPH until noon and a mild 5-10 MPH 0out of the West in the afternoon. The air temp tops out at 66 degrees.
For Tuesdaymorning the top NW facing beaches should be in good shape with that 295-305 degree, 14-16 second interval swell hitting full stride and putting the top, deep water, West facing breaks into he shoulder to head high zone with larger OH sets.

The conditions look excellent with NE/NNE breezes in the 0-5 MPH range until noon all day long. The air temp bumps up to 68 degrees.
For Wednesday morning that ground swell will be on the fade but continue to dish up chest high sets with some larger waves rolling through in the AM.

The conditions should be okay with N/NNE winds in the 5-10 MPH range until noon, (stronger below passes and canyons), and 4-7 MPH breezes out of the West in the afternoon. The air temp gets up to a warm 72 degrees.
Thursday morning looks smaller with waist to possibly chest high sets, but the good news is that some fresh NW ground swell should start to weave its way into the So Cal in the afternoon. The new swell should have much more size to it so stay tuned for updates!

The conditions could be good with variable winds out of the N/NE/NNE in the 0-6 MPH range until noon, (stronger below passes and canyons), and 9-11 MPH breezes out of the West in the afternoon. The air temp dips slightly to 70 degrees.
The current water temps Newport 63 degrees, Huntington 63 degrees, the South Bay showed as 65 degrees, Santa Monica 62 degrees and Malibu 62 degrees.
