For Saturday morning things look quiet through the AM but some fresh NW energy will start to filter in later in the day.

Until that swell shows we should see leftover steep South swell, coupled with that more liberally angled SW energy, dish up waist high + sets for the better South facing breaks. Beaches with a peek at the SW should also see a little action and don’t forget about our mysto swell that refuses to die yet doesn’t show up on the buoys!

Sunday morning looks solid for the best West facing breaks…. read on!

Saturday

For Sunday morning the NW energy should be in full swing for the exposed West facing breaks. The surf will roll in from a steep 300-310 degree angle with 19+ second intervals. This should be good for Head high + sets and WOH, (Well Overhead) waves for the most exposed West facing beaches. Due to the steep nature of this swell only select spots will be receptive. The best bet would be heading down to San Diego or Baja Norte, which should be all lit up Sunday into Monday!

Sunday

2017-10-29 Sun 05:54 PM 4.32 feet High Tide
2017-10-29 Sun 06:03 PM Sunset

The conditions look fair with variable winds in the 1-3 MPH zone until noon and a mild 5-7 MPH out of the S/SW in the afternoon. The air temp drops off to 72 degrees.

For Monday morning that steep NW energy will remain the only show in town with head high + sets at the most exposed West facing breaks. The intervals will remain a beefy 16-17 seconds so there will be still plenty of power out there. This energy will slowly taper off into Tuesday.

2017-10-30 Mon 02:17 AM Moonset

2017-10-30 Mon 06:02 PM Sunset
2017-10-30 Mon 06:47 PM 4.56 feet High Tide

The conditions look fair with SE/SSE winds in the 4-8 MPH zone until noon and 6-8 MPH out of the West in the afternoon. The air temp tops out at 67 degrees.
______________________________________________________________________________________________________

For Tuesday morning we should get one more shot in the arm with chest high + sets in the AM and that will really drop off as the day wears on. Same steep angle and the intervals will dip down to 14 seconds.

Long term it looks like we’re in for a bit of down time after Tuesday but it’s only a matter of time before solid Winter swells start to appear with more frequency!
