HURRICANE WATCH: Tropical Storm Oho remains south of Hawaii in the Central Pacific Basin but the only major impacts from the system will be rough surf, higher waves and rip currents, especially south- and east-facing beaches of the Big Island.

In the East Pacific, we continue to monitor an area for possible development. An area of weak low pressure about 1,000 miles southwest of the southern tip of Baja California. Gradual development is possible over the next few days as the system drifts off to the northeast.
