HURRICANE WATCH September 16th, 2014 – Tropical Storm Polo is picking up right where Oldile left off. End result – lots of damage for Mex but no surf for So Cal!!!
______________________________________________________________________________

For Wednesday morning that 210-215 degree energy will continue to dish up powerful, chest to head high sets as the intervals drop to a still respectable, 16-18 seconds. It will definitely still have some pop to it and the better South facing breaks should be pretty good when the sets roll in.

By Thursday morning that LONG interval SW energy will shorten to 16 seconds, and the sets will come in with less frequency, but there should still be some fun waves rolling through if you have the patience.

We should also see some fresh, 12-14 second, medium interval swell, moving in from the NW. This should be good for some waist high plus sets from a fairly steep, 310 degree angle.

By Friday morning there will be little to no evidence of the SW energy left. We’ll be reliant solely upon that NW energy, which should be good for one more day of waist high plus surf from that same 305-310 degree angle.

By Saturday morning we’ll head back into blah zone with just small, leftover, waist high sets for the top spots. A pretty high tide at 8:30AM will definitely slow things down so you might want to crack it early if you want to scrape up a couple of early bird worms!
