HURRICANE REPORT – Tropical Storm Rosa has blossomed from Tropical Depression 17E this morning. The system is only forecast to achieve tropical storm intensity as it wanders around the Pacific well to the southwest of Baja California Sur. The system is currently located about 725 miles southwest of Cabo San Lucas and is forecast to move west, then turn to the southwest and have little affect on any land mass..
For Friday morning is looking a bit better as the new NW energy generates some stomach to chest high plus sets for the most exposed West facing breaks.

The conditions look fair with light and variable breezes in the 1- 4 MPH zone until noon and afternoon onshores up into the 8-10 MPH range. Look for a high air temp of 77 degrees.
Saturday morning looks to be smaller with just waist high sets for the top spots. Too bad, it looks like we’ll have some nice weather and Santa Ana like conditions.

The conditions look great with NE winds in the 2-6 MPH zone until noon and afternoon onshores up into the 6-8 MPH range. Look for a high air temp of 75 degrees.
Sunday morning looks no better as perfect conditions are wasted with smallish knee to waist high background swell.

The conditions don’t look really nice as the high pressure strengthens and kicks up NE winds in the 7-12 MPH zone until 1PM and afternoon onshores up into the 10-13 MPH range. Look for a high air temp of 80 degrees.
The current water temps are as follows – Newport 63 degrees, Huntington 66 degrees, the South Bay showed as 65 degrees, Santa Monica 64 degrees and Malibu 61 degrees.
