HURRICANE WATCH 10-31-13
Satellite images show an area of disturbed weather a few hundred miles southwest of Manzanillo, Mexico. This system is over warm waters and an area with relatively low wind shear. So, there is a good chance that this area of showers and thunderstorms will become a tropical cyclone during the next day or so, and perhaps Tropical Storm Sonia sometime over the weekend.
For Friday morning the Hurricane swell will be history, but we will see some new, NW swell, from a 295-305 degree angle, in the waist high plus range. There also seems to be some small pulses out of the SW sneaking in under the radar.
A 5.88 feet High Tide, at 8:12AM, will slow things down for the AM session, but quickly recede throughout the morning.
