HURRICANE WATCH: Tropical Depression Seven has strengthened into Tropical Storm Felicia in the eastern Pacific this morning and located about 415 miles to the southwest of the southern tip of the Baja California with sustained winds of 40 mph and tracking to the northwest. It’s headed into cooler water that will prevent any significant strengthening over the next day or so.

There are no organized tropical features across the Eastern Pacific Basin.

Friday morning looks no better as we remain in a waveless rut with only minor background energy in the knee to waist high range.

For Saturday morning it looks like we’ll remain pinned in the knee to waist high zone with an outside chance of a steep tropical swell giving us a little boost.

* Tropical storm Felicia could turn into something but todays models don’t look favorable for swell production just yet so hold tight!
