SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA SURF FORECAST UPDATED 7-2-13
Tropical Storm Dalila is strengthening as it moves away from Mexico’s Pacific coast and could become a hurricane today.
The storm has maximum sustained winds of 70 mph. The storm is centered about 290 miles southwest of Manzanillo, Mexico, and is moving northwest at 6 mph.
It’s heading toward colder water so it’ll be a wait and see scenario for now.
For Wednesday morning will be reliant upon weak, inconsistent pulses out of the SW and small NW background swell. Top spots will wallow in the knee to waist high range.

The conditions should be okay with light and variable breezes, out of the West, in the 2-4 MPH range until 10AM and up to 13 MPH out of the West until sundown. The air temp will get up to 73 degrees.
For Thursday morning (the 4TH of JULY), will see no real improvement as all spots remain in the knee to waist high zone.

Saturday morning looks a little better as some fresh, SW energy, from a 195 degree angle fills in throughout the day. The top South facing breaks should go chest high on the sets.

The current water temps Newport 70 degrees, Huntington 70 degrees, the South Bay showed as 68 degrees, Santa Monica 68 degrees and Malibu 64 degrees.
